Our Story

Johan and Bruce built an extensive career in investment banking at Standard Bank, spanning over a decade. In 2012, they saw an opportunity to leverage their unique skills—Bruce's expertise in analytics and Johan's broad trading experience and product knowledge—and established their own asset management firm. This allowed them to offer a broader range of products, providing investors with diversified returns and expanding the investment opportunities available to clients.

Over the past decade, they've consolidated ownership, now managing the firm entirely themselves, aligning their interests fully with the boutique fixed income house they've built in South Africa. Linda Nyembezi joined the team in 2023 bringing her relationship, sales and market insight and together they serve as joint portfolio managers for three collective investment schemes within Oakhaven Capital: a fixed income hedge fund, an income fund, and a bond fund.
